Born and raised in the beach community of East Hampton, in eastern Long Island, New York, James grew up the second oldest of eight brothers and sisters. With such a large family, responsibility came to James quickly and naturally. He started working early, and learned the lessons of success and being a good person from his parents. Unable to afford college, James did the next best thing; he entered the United States Air force. It was here that the seeds planted by his hard working parents began to nurture and grow. After graduating basic training, James applied for, and became, a Security Policeman. “I wanted to be a SP because I had seen the ability my father had to effect positive change as a Policeman.” Once in Law Enforcement School, James applied to become a Military Working Dog handler. It was in this school that James distinguished himself, by being recognized as the Distinguished Honor Graduate of his class. After graduation, James continued to work special assignments, the highlight being assigned to provide dignitary support for the United Nations. ”I’ve always believed in setting a goal and going all out to achieve it.” Once he left the military, James started the climb up the ladder in the retail industry. While working for several large and well respected companies, the foundation of teamwork, hard work, and overcoming obstacles were laid. With each successful assignment, lessons were learned, and taught to others. After 10 successful years, James took on a new challenge, learning and succeeding in the IT field. “At the time, it was an easy decision. IT was the fastest growing field, and had more potential for income and a variety of different roles to keep things interesting.” By combining his IT training with his previous managerial, military experiences, and a large amount of determination, James went from working part time installing personal computers, to managing teams of IT professionals that provide multi-million dollar solutions in less than four years. Now James is fulfilling his dreams by giving back to everyone what he has known for years, and thought everyone knew.
